Stock Sticks
Stock sticks, aka working wands or herding sticks, are an important tool in training dogs and in handling livestock. When I started in this, I was looking for the right stick. I tried a heavier version from the local Tractor Supply, but while it was sturdy, it was too heavy and just didn't fit me. I also tried a graphite stick that broke within 10 minutes of use. So I set out to find a version that fit me - light, flexible, and inexpensive so that I could easily replace it if it was lost or damaged.
After attending a clinic, I discovered the style and the internet provided me with the material.
SKYFALL is happy to offer stock sticks for you. We offer fiberglass and plastic rods with a textured rubber grip. We can cut them to the length you desire and are currently experimenting with color and personalizing the sticks.
Basic sticks are an easy $12 - making it inexpensive to replace or buy in multiples. We can ship, pick up (from us, Isles of Calais, or Dixie Meadows), or meet you at clinics and trials we are attending.
