About Us
A group of sheep at a local farm where we train.
SKYFALL was never a plan, but rather something that grew alongside my enjoyment and passion for training dogs. Today, we are a small kennel in Southeast Virginia with a small number of dogs. In time, we hope to turn SKYFALL into a working, sustainable farm.
Our dogs feature in many roles - as a partner, a companion, a working dog, and a trial dog. At SKYFALL, our dogs are expected to function on a farm first and foremost, with trialing goals behind that. We currently trial when and where we can.
In addition to competition, we help organize herding clinics and trials at two locations - one in Smithfield, Virginia and the other in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Trials are sanctioned by the American Herding Breed Association (AHBA) or the United States Border Collie Handler's Association (USBCHA). You can find out more about these events on our "Trials and Clinics" page.

We also assist at trials held elsewhere by helping to set out stock, work in the pens, and assist with secretarial duties. You might even find us putting on stockdog demonstrations for the public at events like the local county fair or for a club/organization (ie. Girl Scouts).
As we mature, we will add more information about ourselves and our involvements. If you have any questions, we are more than happy to answer them.
